I first called to schedule with Penny after seeing the awesome Halloween nails that she’d previously done. Check in was quick and Penny showed me to her station. She was very gentle with my nails and worked efficiently but not in a rushed way. Penny did such a wonderful job and I absolutely love how they turned out! We had a great conversation and I was so comfortable while she worked. There were times when she had to take care of client payments but she was always sweet and stayed professional. She is meticulous with her work and her attention to detail is impeccable — She really takes pride in what she does and checks in with you along the way to make sure that she brings to life whatever inspo you find on IG, FB, TikTok, Pinterest or online. Seriously, she can do it! Best to call ahead and make an appointment— once you arrive, you’ll see a screen where you’ll check in by entering your name & phone number: you can’t miss it when you walk in, it’s over by the seating area near the front of the spa. When I went, I found the spa to be very clean and well ventilated: you’re definitely not choking on polish fumes like at other salons. Soft soothing music playing in the background reminds you that you’re not in a typical nail salon. It was a little confusing when I first arrived because the sign on the building still says classy nails, but Penny is in the process of having that changed so that it says Umee nails instead. The front of the business clearly states Umee Spa. I highly recommend that you go see Penny at Umee! Update: went for fill (the original gel bonder was done on 10/10) today, 10/30 — check out the new art that Penny completely *freehanded*! I absolutely love the spooky cuteness 😍👻!
